Ann Marie Duffy

Ann Marie Duffy, Esq. is a partner at Hollingsworth, LLP. Ms. Duffy specializes in high­stakes litigation and trial work. She has significant experience in complex commercial litigation, including tort, product liability, intellectual property, breach of contract, qui tam, antitrust, and fraud.

Ms. Duffy has noteworthy trial and oral argument experience. Early in her career, she first chaired a bench trial in Virginia state court securing a victory for her client in a breach of contract matter. Recently, Ms. Duffy second chaired a $600 million patent trial in the District Court of Delaware in a case where total damages exceeded $2 billion. Ms. Duffy has also participated in trial in the Eastern District of Virginia and handled numerous administrative proceedings before various state and federal agencies. Ms. Duffy has briefed and argued several appeals, including an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and three appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Ms. Duffy's commitment to pro bono legal work in the DC community started when she attended George Washington University Law School. As a law student, Ms. Duffy worked in the Domestic Violence Clinic representing victims of domestic violence who sought Civil Protective Orders in the DC Superior Court. Ms. Duffy has continued to prioritized pro bono work in her practice, focusing on domestic violence, child custody disputes, housing benefits, and asylum applications.
