Linden A. Fry, Esq., currently serves as the Executive Director of the District of Columbia Sentencing Commission, where he works to make the Sentencing Guidelines more accessible and easier to apply, expand the agency’s community outreach activities, and increase the availability of sentencing data to the public. Mr. Fry is proud of his work in bringing together Commissioners with diverse interests and experience to reach consensus on fair, bias-free sentencing policies. Mr. Fry has also served as the agency’s General Counsel. He served on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Sentencing Commissions in 2014.
Before his current role, Mr. Fry opened his own criminal litigation firm, where much of his work involved representing underprivileged clients in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia (Superior Court), who were appointed counsel under the Criminal Justice Act.
Mr. Fry received his Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University and his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable John M. Mott on the Superior Court.
