Peggy G. Bennett, Esq., is a founding partner of Bennett, LoCicero, & Liu, LLP, a boutique law firm representing clients facing white-collar criminal, civil, and administrative enforcement actions. She is a seasoned trial lawyer with over 20 years of complex litigation experience with exceptional courtroom skills. She has worked for the prosecution and the defense during her career, providing a unique perspective in analyzing a case.
Ms. Bennett began her career as a Public Defender at the Legal Aid Society in New York City, vigorously representing indigent clients facing a wide range of criminal cases. In 2004, she returned to her hometown when appointed as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. In this role, Ms. Bennett honed her courtroom advocacy skills, serving in the Grand Jury, Domestic Violence, Sex Offense, and Community Prosecution units of the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO). Her work as a Community Prosecutor was of particular importance, as she served as the USAO representative tasked with building trust between law enforcement and the surrounding community. For her work at the USAO, Ms. Bennet was recognized with a Special Achievement Award. She maintains an active and diverse pro bono practice and is an active member of her community.
Ms. Bennett received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The New School University and her Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
