Thomas R. Healy, Esq., is a trial and appellate attorney practicing in the District of Columbia Courts. As a member of the Criminal Justice Act panels for the Superior Court and the Court of Appeals, he litigates criminal cases for indigent defendants. Mr. Healy is also the Counsel to the Committee on Admissions and a bar examiner.

Mr. Healy is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of Maryland. He serves as the Secretary of the Superior Court Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association and the National College for DUI Defense.

Before he began practicing as a criminal defense attorney for indigent defendants, Mr. Healy primarily practiced business law as a sole practitioner. He was also a partner in the law firm of Healy & Duke and the president of Abonar Title Company. Further, he served as a Certified Fraud Examiner and an adjunct professor at Trinity University, Webster University, and Catholic University, teaching evening and online classes to graduate and undergraduate students.

Mr. Healy received his undergraduate degree with distinction from George Washington University and his Master of Business Administration in International Management degree from Thunderbird. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law, where he is a member of the Board of Visitors.
