Timothy R. Ramnitz

Timothy R. Ramnitz, Esq., has worked for fifteen years as a lawyer in the Civil Division, Office of Immigration Litigation, of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). At the DOJ, he gained substantial litigation experience appearing on behalf of the government in every United States Court of Appeals of general jurisdiction and multiple district courts throughout the United States. His cases have resulted in over twenty-seven published decisions from the United States Courts of Appeals, a United States Supreme Court decision, and recognition from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for excellence in oral advocacy.

Ramnitz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Russian from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Pepperdine School of Law, where he interned for the Honorable Alex Kozinski on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the San Diego County Public Defender. After law school, Ramnitz worked at the Department of Justice for one year as a legal assistant before joining the Department as an attorney.
