Yaida O. Ford is the Principal of Ford Law Pros, P.C. Admitted in nine different courts, Yaida is a trial lawyer who represents clients in civil rights cases, employment law matters and real estate disputes in both federal and state courts. She has appeared in more than 109 civil matters and has had four dismissals in her entire career: two of them resulted in settlements, one went to trial on other grounds, and one was reversed and remanded on appeal.
Ford's most recent victory came down on June 24, 2021 in Hood-Wilson vs. Community College of Baltimore (1:20-cv-00124-RDB), where she appealed the dismissal of an employee’s claim of gender and race discrimination against the college to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals who reversed and remanded the trial court's ruling.
Ford's experience trying cases in front of countless judges across the country cemented in her a passion to see balance and fairness on the bench. Ford begins her term on the JNC in 2022.
