Addy R. Schmitt is currently a member of the law firm Miller & Chevalier where she practices in the areas of criminal and civil litigation. She previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia from 2010 to 2014. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office Ms. Schmitt clerked for the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia from 2007 to 2009 and from 2004 to 2005. She was an Associate at the law firm of Dickstein Shapiro, LLP from 2003 to 2004 and 2005 to 2007. Ms. Schmitt received a JD from American University Washington College of Law and a BA from Georgetown University.
