Thomas R. Healy, Esq

Thomas R. Healy, Esq., is a trial and appellate attorney practicing indigent criminal defense. He is a member of the Criminal Justice Act panels for the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and Superior Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. He is also a panel member for the Maryland Office of Public Defender. Mr. Healy serves as Counsel to the Committee on Admissions of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and is a bar examiner.

Mr. Healy is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of Maryland. Mr. Healy is also a member of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National College for DUI Defense. He was previously a Certified Fraud Examiner and Secretary of the Superior Court Trial Lawyers Association.

Before focusing his practice on indigent criminal defense, Mr. Healy practiced business law. He was a sole practitioner, a partner in the law firm of Healy & Duke, and the president of Abonar Title Company. He also served as an adjunct professor at Trinity University, Webster University, and Catholic University.

Mr. Healy received his undergraduate degree with distinction from George Washington University and his Master of Business Administration in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law.
