Hon. Pavan S. Krishnamurthy is an Administrative Law Judge with the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings, which adjudicates cases from over 40 agencies, boards, and commissions. He presides over contested hearings and issues decisions appealable to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
Before his appointment, Judge Krishnamurthy served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia. He also served on active duty as a judge advocate general in the United States Air Force, where he was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and Joint Service Achievement Medal. He continues to serve as a reservist.
Judge Krishnamurthy began his legal career as an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Sidley Austin LLP. There he received the Vincent F. Prada Pro Bono Award in recognition of his outstanding pro bono service.
Judge Krishnamurthy received his Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and Master of Science, with distinction, from the London School of Economics. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an articles editor for the Georgetown Law Journal.
